My Fish.

A few years ago, I bought some fishes. I always wanted to have them because they were like aliens from another universe. Every year I would take care of them as if they were my children. I fed them twice a day, and cleaned the tank once every week. Seeing the myriad of fishes weave countless masterpieces across the blue canvas made me gape at them.

I cared for them every year until I was 12. I could not keep up with the homework given by my teachers and I could not manage my stress as the Primary School Leaving Examination was coming. Thus, I continued studying even harshly. Even when I walked, I would sometimes bump into people while revising work in my mind. I was able to apply idioms to every situation that I met and my family members were praising me at how diligent I was.

Two days after, the foggy waters caught my eye. I could see bodies going like chairlifts and hurried to clean the tank. I saw the 10s of fishes that died and couldn't help but get my eyes watery. Since that day, I cared for my fishes while watching those curious creatures helps to reduce my stress.

This experience made me aware of how many people there were who actually abandon their pets, forcing them to live in the wild. I am regretful of my actions in Primary 6. I should not have neglected my pets just because of studies. I learnt that pets also have feelings, just like you and me.
